Internship Steps

Step 1: Onboarding and Setup

Interns are introduced to the team, company tools, and project management platforms (e.g., Jira, GitHub). Live project goals, timelines, and methodologies (e.g., Agile) are outlined. System configurations and access to the code repository and staging environments are provided to prepare interns for hands-on work.

Step 2: Understanding the Live Project

Interns receive an overview of the live project, its objectives, and current status. They analyze requirements, study codebases, and review relevant documentation. Shadowing team members helps interns grasp workflows and their role within the project, enabling a deeper understanding of deliverables.

Step 3: Task Assignment and Planning

Interns are assigned specific tasks within the live project, such as implementing features, fixing bugs, or optimizing performance. They participate in sprint planning to break tasks into smaller, manageable units. Detailed task breakdowns and timelines ensure clarity and efficient execution.

Step 4: Development and Collaboration

Interns actively code, debug, and integrate assigned features into the project. They collaborate with mentors and teammates during daily standups to address blockers and dependencies. Code reviews by senior developers refine their output and instill best practices in software development.

Step 5: Testing and Quality Assurance

Interns test their modules in staging environments using unit and functional testing tools (e.g., Postman, Selenium). Collaboration with QA teams ensures all issues are resolved. Testing in a live context highlights real-world challenges, enhancing the intern’s problem-solving skills.

Step 6: Deployment and Knowledge Sharing

Interns deploy their completed features to live or testing environments under supervision. They document their work, including processes, challenges, and learnings, ensuring project continuity. Knowledge-sharing sessions allow interns to present their work and receive feedback from stakeholders.

Step 7: Final Presentation and Reflection
